LB Finance’s commitment to corporate social responsibility has many facets, including supporting young people, who will be next generation leader, to be all they can be.
LB finance strongly believes “Our schools are the cornerstone of our society. And education is the most important tool we can provide today’s youth to allow for a bright future.”
 After successfully completing several CSR projectsin year 2014, LB finance partnerswith the Societyof Science of University of Colombo to carry on a project for Polonnaruwadistrict O/L students.From 6th of Oct, 2014 to 10^th of Oct, 2014, Science Society of the University of Colombo organizes a series of seminars for mathematics and science for G.C.E O/L students in non-privileged, rural areas of the Polonnaruwa district. LB finance supports the society in conducting the seminar and provides additional learning materials and school supplies for O/L students.
The objective of this CSR activity is to enhance the livelihood of this poverty driven area towards a better and prosperous future, as a result the students of this area will be further equipped to face modern challenges of the society with enhanced knowledge.
LB Finance provides model exam paper books and past paper exam books for science and mathematics and school supplies for more than 800 school children from selected schools in Polonnaruwa district.
LB Finance PLC believes in supporting school students through providing additional learning materials and school supplies. Having the learning materials and school supplies means the students will have not to worry about how they will fully participate in their studies or how to put that extra effort to excel in their O/L exams. The donations will take the burden off the families who are unable to purchase the past paper books and school supplies for their children.
