Alpha Orient Lanka Limited, a member of the world's number one travel retailer as well as the leading duty free merchant at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), recently concluded their Christmas and New Year mega promotion successfully. The mega promotion coincided with the BIA Shopping Festival which was held for the first time in the history of the airport. On completion of the promotion, a raffle draw was held with the patronage of Mr. Kamal Ratwatte, the Deputy Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited.
The grand winner of the raffle draw will walk away with a Rolex Submariner Watch worth more than Rs.1 million. In addition to the grand prize, 160 nos. of 22 karat gold coins and 14 nos. 22 karat gold sovereigns were given away on a daily and weekly basis, throughout the 3 month promotion period. To stand a chance to win all these valuable prizes, customers had to spend US$ 60 on selected products at Alpha Orient Lanka Arrival and Departure duty free shops.
