The global electronics major, Panasonic launched its mobile phone series in Sri Lanka by extending its innovative product portfolio and services to the users in the country. Panasonic introduced its Android-based smartphone series including its internationally acclaimed ‘Eluga’ series in the Sri Lankan market.The company launched its world renowned smartphone series Eluga, which is known for its design, superior build quality and unique user i nterface for single hand operation, along with its ‘P’ and ‘T’ series designed particularly for the youth segment.
The revolutionary series of Panasonic smartphones is targeted at the young generation – from the always-on-the-go college youth, to the premium executive class on the lookout for innovative, faster and savvier smartphones.Speaking on t he occasion of the launch, Regional Head India, South Asia, Middle East and Africa Region and Panasonic India President Daizo Ito said, “We take great pride in our products for their innovative and technological prowess. Panasonic smartphones will be marketed and distributed in Sri Lanka by one of the leading marketer and distributors Singhagiri (Pvt.) Ltd.Speaking at the launch, Singhagiri (Pvt) Ltd Managing Director Maarasinghe said, “The smartphone market in Sri Lanka is growing at an incredible pace with a total of 0.12 million smartphones being sold in 1Q-2014. The country is witnessing a rapid growth and with the coming-in of the Panasonic smartphone series, we expect to witness a significant growth in years to come.”
