Sriyan de Silva Wijeyratne, who stepped down as Country Manager, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for Microsoft, has been appointed MD/CEO of knit fabric maker, Textured Jersey Lanka PLC.

Wijeyratne has a First Class in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura, a Masters Degree in Management from the same university and is a Fellow Member of CIMA, UK and a CGMA.

He was responsible for establishing Microsoft presence in Sri Lanka and was previously the Director, Marketing and Sales of Suntel Limited and commenced his career at Nestle Lanka PLC.
