The trendy Yamaha FZ range of motorcycles saw the debut of its latest offering – the Yamaha FZ V2.0. Displayed at the Ceylon Motor Show, the latest member of the FZ family incorporates the latest technology, named ‘Blue Core’, by Yamaha.

The new technology is said to increase overall performance and also increase fuel economy by 15 percent. Fitted with a 149cc 2-valve engine, the new FZ is air-cooled and incorporates a fuel-injector system for ultimate performance, while telescopic front forks and a monocross rear suspension offer maximum comfort. Another great feature of the Yamaha FZ V2.0 is separate seats for both rider and passenger and puncture proof radial tyres. The newly designed instrument panel also incorporates an ‘eco’ feature to ensure optimum running.

Having established its presence in Sri Lanka in 1981, AMW continues to offer the latest Yamaha motorcycles and cutting-edge technological advances in motoring to a growing customer base, coupled with an islandwide spares and after sales service network.

Enjoying unprecedented global appeal, the Yamaha brand boasts 100% Japanese technology, while popularity amongst Sri Lankan customers continues to grow, thanks in no small part to the efforts of Associated Motorways (Private) Limited, the sole agent for the brand in Sri Lanka.

Founded in 1949, AMW has consistently, over 65 years, grown to become the pre-eminent group in the industry. In addition to world-class Yamaha products, AMW also markets global automobile brands (Nissan, Suzuki, Piaggio) and associated products (Goodyear tyres, Castrol lubricants), as well as New Holland tractors.
