The Diyawanna politicos of a certain district had reportedly boycotted the inaugural meeting of the District Development Committee.

The eight politicos due to attend the meeting had boycotted it as a show of protest against the politico who has been appointed as the Chairman of the committee.

The Chairman-politico had as a Pohottuwa candidate secured the highest number of preference votes in a fiercely fought battle which had led to incurring the animosity of his rivals, they say.

Only government white-collar high-ups had attended this district development committee held in a main city.
