A Diyawanna politico who had been residing in a rented house has now gone into occupying a mansion in a prestigious residential area, which he bought for Rs. 35 million, they say.

The fact, that this politico-a first-timer to the council- has earned enough money in a short time to shift from an ordinary rented house to a posh residence has raised many an eyebrow.

Some buddies of the politico had asked him how he could make such big money as to buy a mansion and he had replied: “Krama Saha Vidhi Thiyanawa! (There are ways and means!)”
The politico is known to be a good orator.
