Their relationship goes sour again!

The Telephone party chief and the lanky party stalwart commanding a ‘regiment’ have not been on good terms for some time, they say.

The cause for their bad blood is that both are said to be eyeing the same high office.

However, the Telephone party chief had been trying to patch up differences with the regiment chief with the idea of embarking on a   political program with the latter’s collaboration.

In fact, the party chief had engaged several young Diyawanna members as messengers to talk peace with the regiment chief and by the time some measure of goodwill had been built up, an unexpected thing had happened to undo the peace effort so far made: the regiment chief had announced that he was prepared to give leadership to the new government to be formed!

This announcement had hurt the Telephone party chief and their relationship has gone sour again,
they say.
