Congratulations. The answer you gave the foreign reporter was brilliant you proved yourself that you have more than enough experience to run the country. I am pretty sure the mps we have in the parliament only handful would have given like the way you did. You handled him absolutely great and he too was gobsmacked. So war I have watched the video more than 50 times and I really enjoy every minute of it. I have all the confidence in your government will handle the problems very well. Good luck and God bless you all. Hope to see you many more times. Thanks.

When I started working I also had no experience. We all must help each other. No point looking for holes. Search holes you will find them like ants do.. so let’s not do that

No politicians were born with experience and then became ministers. If you are educated you could easily get the experience because the people with experience who ruined the country.

One advice to the new Government. You cannot afford to make mistakes, do wrong things, practise nepotism, and carry on corrupt practices. If you do, Sri Lanka's Bongbong Marcos will return as it happened in the Philippines.

Although it may look like a clever response, the lack of experience is a fact. All freshers in the previous administrations had enough time and experienced colleagues to guide them. But, now the whole team consists of newcomers and the country's situation needs fire-fight mode. Trial and error is not possible now, it's life or death!

Sometimes it is really good to have no prior experience in holding office- it gives a huge opportunity to start afresh and be creative and more than anything humane. Well done Harini!! Well done Sri Lanka

May be not Harini. But we remember how JVP made the country go on its knees. One chit everything closed, dead body can only be raised up to knee level. Public transport busses burned for providing transport etc etc. Remember the poster about calling armed forces traitors and asking to resign at the penalty of death to family members.Better think before you answer Madam.

Come on Christo225... It is your perfect right to live in the past for ever. While you enjoy that right, others around you know that the world evolves..... The JVP. just like any political entity had their downsides from and through which they have evolved from a mere 3% to 42%...!! whilst doing their darndest to adhere to and upholding democratic values and principles .. It is that dreaded Yankee Dickey who forced them to 'political wilderness' in 1983 by falsely charging them as being responsible for Black July which was JR's own creation!! Since their banning, the then JVP attempted in every democratic way to restore their right to engage in politics. JR using an arm fist, crushed their democratic until he and his equally brutal colleague Premadasa eliminated the entirety of JVP hierarchy by 1990. If you were alive by then, you will know that the nation paid a heavy price for that blunder of JR. It is a historical truth.

We learn as we go.
A solid plan is a MUST.
INTEGRITY IS FOREMOST.
SERVE NOT TO BE SERVED.
Alliance with self serving cronies
ABSOLUTELY NO!

Come on Christo 255 ???, Ananda Weerasinghe's reply is a good measured sensible response to you. I as an old man from a top class school in Panadura, wish our lady prime minister of best wishes, strength and help from civil service. Her response to the question of "lack of experience", was superb. My analysis for any situation is to seek the fundamentals of reality and truth, namely PaticcaSumuppaada, or previous Kamma/Action conditions the next Situation, and goes on, to the Present AKD situation. JR to RP TO MR, GR to RW and Now AKD. We have enough resources, Material, human, half of it so called Females/women. Srilanka has the highest literacy ration in south Asia. Please note Afghanistan, Iran, and some similar countries, have oil, but half the population, resources, Women are made non functional. SRI Lanka will prevail, my friends, have mercy, blessings on Christo 255 too.

The people with experience only has made this country bankrupt. What more do you want. They are educated and will catch up fast. They are no grade 8 professionals.
