25% reduction on electricity bills for March, April, May

The Cabinet has agreed to provide a 25 per cent reduction on electricity bills for March, April and May for consumers who had used less than 90 units per month, Cabinet Spokesman Bandula Gunawardane said today.

He told the cabinet briefing that according to the proposals made by subject minister Mahinda Amaraweera, a grace period of three months would be provided to pay the bills.

He said no late payment would be charged from the consumers.
