83 ORIT apparel employees test positive with COVID-19

Eighty-three employees of the ORIT apparel factory in Avissawella tested positive with COVID-19 yesterday.

A total number of 639 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the country yesterday alone, out of which, 133 of them were from the Colombo District, 190 from Gampaha, 89 from Kandy and 50 from the Kalutara District.

In addition, 42 cases in the Ampara District and 21 from Jaffna were also reported.
