Colombo, October 25 - Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka (AASL) has reinforced its commitment to safety following two bomb threats on Vistara flights at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) on October 19 and October 24.
The incidents raised concerns but were handled efficiently, with strict protocols followed to ensure the security of all passengers and crew.
Chairman of AASL, Air Chief Marshal (Rtd) Harsha Abeywickrema, assured the public, saying, "We prioritize the safety and security of our passengers and operate in full compliance with international aviation standards."
"AASL, in cooperation with the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka and other relevant authorities, continues to implement high safety measures to guarantee a secure and pleasant travel experience for all airport users," Abeywickrema said.
