All MPs must publish their educational qualifications: SJB MP

Colombo, December 12 (Daily Mirror) - While highlighting that the false claim by Speaker Ashoka Ranwala on his doctorate has degraded Parliament, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Harshana Rajakaruna said today that all Members of Parliament should publish their educational qualifications.

"I am making my qualifications public in order to prevent the further degradation of the legislature and I expect all MPs to do the same," he said while showing photographs of his educational certificates to the media.

He said the Speaker should also do the same in order create a clearer picture about his qualifications.

"The Speaker should present his doctorate certificate to the public so that the matter will end there," he added.
