Asanga Abeygunasekara arrested at BIA over open warrant

Colombo, July 21 (Daily Mirror) - Former Director of the Institute of National Security Studies, Asanga Abeygunasekara, was arrested this morning at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

Police detained him at the arrival terminal following the issuing of an arrest warrant by the Inland Revenue Department related to a case against him.

Abeygunasekara is the son of Ossie Abeygunasekera, former leader of the Sri Lanka Mahajana Pakshaya (SLMP).
