Bus carrying pilgrims overturns in Muttur, injuring 52

Colombo, July 19 (Daily Mirror) - A bus carrying a group of pilgrims from Jaffna to Kataragama ran off the road and overturned this afternoon in the Muttur area resulting in 52 pilgrims being injured.

Out of the 59 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident, 52 were injured and admitted to the Muttur Hospital.

Hospital sources indicated that 50 individuals had sustained minor injuries, while two had suffered serious hand injuries.
