CID arrests Sanjaya Mahawatta

Colombo, June 28 (Daily Mirror) - The chairman of the 'Magen Ratata' movement, Sanjaya Mahawatta, was arrested today (28) by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

A senior officer said the arrest was made in connection with an incident involving false accusations against senior police officers.

The senior official said that Sanjaya Mahawatta has also lodged a complaint against the CID.
