CPC refinery to become separate government-owned entity under restructuring plan

Colomb, June 26 (Daily Mirror) - Under the restructuring plan of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), the CPC-owned refinery will be established as a separate government-owned and operated entity, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.

While shairing an X message he said that restructuring of the CPC aims to attract and secure necessary investments to improve fuel quality, efficiency and capacity while reducing costs.

The CPC's current approved cadre and salary structure will also be revised, and digital platforms will be introduced for various functions and services. 

A discussion on the timeline and process for implementing the reforms took place with the senior management of CPC and the refinery.
