Colombo suburbs to experience 18-hour water cut

Colombo, July 04 (Daily Mirror) - The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWS&DB) has announced an 18-hour water cut in multiple areas starting at 9:00 p.m. tonight due to urgent repairs on a transmission pipeline.

The affected areas include the Kolonnawa Urban Council, Kaduwela Municipal Council, and Kotikawatta-Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha regions. 

The water supply will be interrupted from 9:00 p.m. tonight until 3:00 p.m. tomorrow, July 5.

According to the NWS&DB, the temporary suspension is necessary to repair a leak in the transmission pipeline from the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant. 

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and store sufficient water for the duration of the interruption.
