Complaints related to General Elections mount: Eight incidents of violence

Colombo, October 28 (Daily Mirror) - A total of 76 fresh complaints related to the upcoming Parliamentary elections were received, taking the total number of complaints to over 800.  

According to the Election Commission, a total of 84 cases have been reported during the period from September 26 to October 27.

Of the total complaints, the National Centre for Election Complaint Management received 265 while the District Centres for Election Complaint Management received 604. All complaints were categorised as breaches of law, with eight incidents of violence being reported.
