Conducting A/L tuition classes prohibited from tonight

Colombo, November 19 (Daily Mirror) - Conducting coaching or tuition classes targeting the 2024 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examinations will be prohibited from midnight today, the Department of Examinations said.

Examinations Commissioner General H.J.M.C Amith Jayasundara said organising, conducting subject oriented lectures, seminars or classes, printing examination oriented papers, distribution and giving publicity via electronic media, posters and banners claiming to provide similar questions five days prior to the examinations are prohibited.

The examinations will begin on November 25 and end on December 20 at 2,312 examiation centres around the country.

“If a person or an institution violates these regulations, complaints can be lodged at the nearest Police Station, the Examinations Department or to the following numbers,” he said.
