Couple shot dead in Ambalangoda

A married couple was shot dead by an unidentified gunman on another motorcycle while they were travelling on a motorcycle in the Urawatte area of Ambalangoda today.

The victims, a 46-year-old man and his wife, were residents of Ambalangoda.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the shooting was carried out with a T56-type firearm.

Ambalangoda Police are conducting investigations.
