Death toll due to extreme weather rises to 10

Colombo, June 02 (Daily Mirror) -  The death toll from the extreme weather conditions in the country has climbed to 10 in the past 24 hours as confirmed by State Defence Minister Premitha Bandara Tennakoon.

According to the State Minister, five individuals have been reported missing.

Minister Tennakoon said operations are underway in search of the missing individuals.

 The severe weather, characterized by relentless rainfall has triggered widespread flooding and landslides, wreaking havoc across multiple regions.
