Digital driving licenses coming soon

Colombo, December 10 (Daily Mirror) - The government has approved the issuing of digital driving licenses to replace the current ones, Cabinet spokesman and Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said.

Addressing the media, he stated that the government recognises the need for digital driving licenses, similar to those used in other countries.

The new licenses will be introduced soon, but the issuing of the existing licenses will continue for a short period until the digital system is fully implemented, he added.

It has been 15 years since the introduction of the initial digital driving license system.
