The police who are yet to make an arrest over the murder of Dinesh Schaffter, the director of Janashakthi Company, has questioned more than 30 persons including Schaffter’s wife so far and police said they would be able to arrest the killers soon by solving the mystery of the murder.   Sources within the CID said that many facts are currently being revealed regarding how Dinesh Schaffter, who was killed, came from his house to the Borella cemetery.

It was revealed that Schaffter left his home at Flower Road and directly entered the Borella Cemetery where he stopped at only one place to have a snack.
Police said they have gathered footage from more than 40 CCTV cameras and are currently investigating each angle.

They said the CID had monitored security cameras on Schaffter’s route from his house to Borella cemetery and several vehicles that were travelling behind his vehicle were also noticed.

Meanwhile, sources said that the CID has recorded a number of statements from several persons including Schaffter’s wife and some of Shafter’s close relatives.

Investigations carried out so far had revealed that a text message was sent from the mobile phone of Dinesh Schaffter to the mobile phone of former cricket announcer Brian Thomas after Schaffter became a victim of criminals at the Borella Cemetery.

Sources said they suspect that Schaffter’s murder was not the result of sudden anger or a spur-of-the-moment incident and that it was a pre-planned murder.
They suspect that the person who brought Schaffter to the cemetery had brought him there with the plan to kill him.
