’’Dr’’ title added mistakenly to Justice Minister’s profile: Parliament clarifies

Colombo, December 13 (Daily Mirror)- Clarfying the removal of the title "Dr" for Justice Minister  Harshana Nanayakkara from the Parliament website, the Parliament media unit said the title was mistakenly added before the name of the Justice Minister and that it has now been corrected.

In a statement, the Parliament media unit said the details provided to Parliament by the Minister had not included a "Dr." title and that it was mistakenly added when uploading the MP's profile.

The statement expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to Minister Nanayakkara.

It said steps are being taken to update the profiles of MPs in the Parliament website after rescrutiny.
