Education Ministry requests special security for state universities

Colombo, June 24 (Daily Mirror) - The Education Ministry has requested the Secretary of the Public Security Ministry to ensure special security measures for the safety of state university lecturers, students and non-academic staff, as well as for the protection of public property.

Following the instructions of Minister Susil Premajayantha, Education Ministry Secretary J.M. Thilaka Jayasundara issued a letter today requesting to ensure the safety of the state university system.
