Election violation complaints surpass 300

Colombo, August 11 (Daily Mirror) - A total of 320 complaints related to the upcoming Presidential election have been received by the Election Commission as of yesterday evening.

The Commission said that the complaints were received during the period from July 31 to August 10.

They said that 51 complaints reported just yesterday were related to violations of election laws.

Out of the 320 complaints, the National Centre for Election Complaint Management received 214, while the District Centres for Election Complaint Management received 104.

All complaints were categorized as breaches of laws, with one incident of violence being reported.
