Colombo, June 17 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Railways Department has decidecd to offer free train services for one week from today (17) to passengers traveling between Anuradhapura and Mihintale for Poson Poya.

However, necessary actions have been taken to provide a special bus service from Maho railway station to Anuradhapura, as no trains will be running from Maho to Anuradhapura due to ongoing renovations on the Northern Railway track.

Buses have been assigned for the convenience of passengers travelling between Maho and Anuradhapura railway stations during Poson week.

Accordingly, 400 additional buses have been allocated for this service.

The National Poson Week will commence tomorrow (18), with numerous religious ceremonies planned at the Atamasthana in Anuradhapura.
