Head-on collision kills father and son

A tragic head-on collision involving a truck and a car in the Maththaka area on the Pitigala-Mapalagama road has resulted in the deaths of a father and his son. 

The accident, which occurred earlier today, also claimed the life of the car's driver, leaving the vehicle’s occupants with severe injuries. The two women who were injured in the crash have been admitted to Elpitiya Base Hospital for treatment.

In addition, a motorcyclist, who is reported to be a school principal, sustained minor injuries in the incident and has also been admitted to the hospital.

The truck driver has been taken into custody by Elpitiya Police in connection with the collision.
