Health workers who defied TUs to be appreciated

Health workers including, doctors who reported for duty despite trade union action yesterday would be appreciated, Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.

The Minister has instructed the Health Secretary to offer a special service appreciation to the health workers who worked in a dedicated manner.

He has also directed the Health Secretary to seek the possibility of awarding them a professional level appreciation and take steps in that regard.
