Heavy showers over 50 mm likely in several provinces

Colombo, October 24 (Daily Mirror) - Heavy showers exceeding 50 mm are likely in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-Western, and Northern Provinces, according to the Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre.

Showers are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-Western, and Northern Provinces, as well as in the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.

Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers may occur in several other areas of the island during the evening or night.

Strong winds of up to 45 km/h are also expected at times in the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, and Central Provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
