Inmates to get special open visit day

Colombo, July 12 (Daily Mirror) - In line with the 119th Sri Lanka Prisons Day, the Department of Prisons will facilitate a special opportunity for inmates to receive visitors on July 16.

According to Prisons Commissioner and Spokesman Gamini B. Dissanayake, this opportunity will allow relatives to visit and provide essential items such as food and hygiene materials for the inmates.

Dissanayake emphasized the importance of adhering to stringent health protocols amidst ongoing health challenges. 

"All visitation activities will strictly follow health guidelines mandated across all prisons island-wide," he assured.
