Colombo, Jan. 6 (Daily Mirror) - The defending League champions, Kandy Sports Club will host Havelock Sports Club in their Inter-Club Rugby Tournament fixture at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium in Kandy on Sunday. The kick-off is at 3.45 p.m.

Kandy SC will once again miss out their number one prop forward, Lasith Attanagoda, who is recovering from an injury and he is expecting a comeback during their next game against Navy SC at Welisara.

Praveen Charles, Sanushka Abeywickrema and Jason Dissanayake will add value for the Kandy SC forwards with Dilshan Fareed, the former Kingswoodian having an excellent season so far as hooker.

Heshan Jenson, who is playing well as the scrum half, had pushed Srinath Sooriyabandara to the last line of defence.

Nigel Ratwatte, Tharinda Ratwatte, Dhanushka Ranjan and Dinal Ekanayake are all playing cohesive rugby for the upcountry lads and they could run riot if space is given.

Kandy SC have already recorded bonus point victories against Army SC, CH and FC, Air Force SC and Police SC. Head Coach Fazil Marija had done a remarkable job with this young outfit while turning them in to formidable outfit.

Meanwhile, Havelock SC have been little inconsistent this season under the leadership of Azmir Fajudeen.

They lost to CH and FC and went on to record two unimpressive wins against Army SC and Police SC.

Abdullah Fayis, Shehan Diaz, Samuel Maduwantha are expected to put up their best effort in this game.

Samuel Maduwantha, the former Antonian, playing in front of his home fans, could make the difference if the Park Club is to impress with his place kicking and territory gaining touch-kicks.

Referee: Gihan Yatawara.
