Landslides warnings issued for three districts

Colombo , October 10 (Daily Mirror)- The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) issued early warning today for landslides in the Galle, Kalutara and Matara districts.

They said the landslide warnings were for susceptible areas in Dodangoda, Bulathsinhala, Mathugama, Horana and Wallawita in the Kalutara district.
 
In addition, a Level II landslide warning has been declared for Nagoda and Elpitiya in the Galle district, Akuressa in the Matara district. 

Residents in these areas are urged to be watchful for sudden appearance of water sprouts, cracks on walls and on the soil as these may be signs of impending landslides, according to the NBRO.
