MPs Thigambaram, Velu Kumar clash during live debate

Colombo, August 20 -  MPs Palani Thigambaram and Velu Kumar of the Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) got into a fight during a live debate on a local TV show.

The video shows the two MPs exchanging harsh words, which escalate into a physical altercation. The TV staff promptly intervened to separate the duo.

Recently, MP Velu Kumar announced his support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming Presidential election while MP Thigambaram, along with TPA leader Mano Ganesan, pledged support to Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
