Magistrate orders five-member panel of Doctors to conduct autopsy on Dinesh Schaffter’s death

A Colombo Magistrate today ordered police to provide court a list of names of doctors to select a five-member panel of doctors to be appointed to conduct the post-mortem inquiry of leading businessman Dinesh Schaffter.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasooriya made this direction to the CID during the magisterial inquiry into the suspicious death of leading Colombo businessman Dinesh Schaffter apparently attacked and abandoned in Colombo Kanatte burial Grounds under mysterious circumstances.

Dinesh Schaffter, a well-known business and former cricket administrator, was found seriously injured and tied to his car seat, on the premises of a Kanatte and was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.

The Police are conducting investigations to find out facts about the death of Mr. Schaffter. (T. Farook Thajudeen)
