Man shot dead in Sripura

Colombo, August 16 (Daily Mirror) - A 26-year-old man was shot dead early this morning (16) at Pillayar Junction in Gemunupura, Sripura, police said.

The shooting was reportedly carried out by an unidentified gunman who arrived on a motorcycle and used a T56 assault rifle.

The victim, a resident of Kawanthissapura, Sripura, died on the spot.

The motive behind the shooting is still unknown, and Sripura Police are conducting further investigations.
