NPP members collect funds for flood victims, AKD spends millions on air tickets: SJB activist

Colombo, June 19 (Daily Mirror) - National People’s Power (NPP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake is spending millions on his air ticket while his party members are collecting funds for flood victims in Sri Lanka, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) activist Chamith Wijesundara said today.

"Dissanayake spends more than rupees one and a half million to travel abroad on business class. Meanwhile, young members of the NPP are collecting funds from the public for the flood victims. One wonders why the NPP does not use some of the funds used by its leader for the flood victims," Wijesundara said.

He said SJB members are spending their own funds on the flood victims.
