NPP wins five seats in Hambantota District

The National People's Power secured five seats in the Hambantota District, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and the Sri Lanka Podujana Party secured a seat each.

With 234,083 votes the NPP secured 66.38% of the total valid votes, while the SJB received 14.79% of the votes. 

The SLPP meanwhile, came third in the District voting, with 26,268 votes, which equated to 7.45% of the total valid votes.
