Nalin Bandara expresses regret over fatal accident involving his vehicle

Colombo, June 14 (Daily Mirror) - Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Nalin Bandara Jayamaha expressed his regrets to the family of the young man who was killed in a recent road accident involving his vehicle. 

“I express my regrets to the family members of the young man who was killed as a result of a recent accident in which my vehicle was involved.

“I am saddened by the incident,” he told a media briefing today.

However, the MP said he does not intend to comment anything on it till police investigations are completed.

“The report which said my vehicle was travelling at high speed is false as it was not possible to speed because of the heavy rain that was prevailing at that moment. I will leave the police to conduct an investigation. I have not influenced anyone in the police which is carrying out the investigations and neither have I spoken to Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles who is in charge of the police with regard to the matter,” he said.
