Namal urges SLPP leaders to maintain focus on Sajith as main opponent

Colombo, August 06 (Daily Mirror) - National Organizer of the SLPP, Namal Rajapaksa in a meeting held with SLPP MPs and district leaders said that their party’s focus must be to ensure victory at the September Presidential Polls and to take on SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa as their main opponent. 

In his address to the party members, Rajapaksa called on party seniors to refrain from criticizing those who had left the party, highlighting that the UNP had previously criticized these individuals with various allegations. 

He said time should not be wasted in highlighting those SLPP MPs who had gone against the party decision as it was these MPs who had criticized the UNP at one point, who were now actively working for the UNP leader’s campaign.

Rajapaksa urged a unified approach against the SJB, emphasizing that the SLPP’s strategy should focus on countering the SJB’s campaign rather than dwelling on internal issues or past conflicts.
