Namal will gather support from youth in North, East: Cassilingham

Colombo, August 07 (Daily Mirror) - SLPP Presidential candidate Namal Rajapaksa will be the first national leader who will be able to gather support from the youth in the North and East following his interactions and understanding of the issues faced by the citizens in that district, Geethanath Cassilingham, Politbureau Member of SLPP representing the Northern Province said. 

Cassilingham said that Namal Rajapaksa was one of the first Parliamentarians to visit the North and East soon after the war ended in 2009 to look into the people's grievances and he had gathered a deep understanding of the region's political, social and economic issues. 

"We expect Namal to gather more support from the North and East than any other previous national candidates, particularly from the young voters seeking a change," Cassilingham said.
