New draft constitution calls for restructuring of Sri Lanka Cricket Board

Colombo, June 15 (Daily MIrror)- The new draft constitution for the Sri Lanka Cricket Board was handed over to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat today, the President's Media Division (PMD) said.

Key recommendations include enhancing administration, training and player well-being across national men's and women's teams, the PMD said. 

The new constitution has also called for the restructuring of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.

Former Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe had appointed a 10-member committee, chaired by former Supreme Court Judge Justice K.T. Chitrasiri, to submit a draft of the proposed new constitution for Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
