No sports skills considered for school admissions

Colombo, April 29 (Daily Mirror) - The Education Ministry has announced that government schools and government-approved private schools will no longer admit students to intermediate grades based on sports skills.

They said the admission will strictly adhere to instructions outlined in the relevant circular.

The Ministry has issued necessary instructions to principals in this regard.
