Over 300 Police personnel transferred from Presidential Security Division

Colombo, Oct 07 (Daily Mirror) - A total of 307 police personnel have been transferred from the Presidential Security Division to various police divisions across the country with immediate effect.

The transfers were authorised by Acting Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya, under the covering approval of the Election Commission in accordance with Section 258(1) and (II) of the Public Service Commission Procedural Rules.

Among the transferred personnel are 11 Chief Inspectors, five Inspectors, 38 Sub-Inspectors, and 12 Women Sub-Inspectors.

Meanwhile, the transfer orders of 24 police personnel temporarily attached to the Presidential Security Division have been cancelled.
