Over 5-hour power cuts on Monday

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has approved the request made by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to have rotational power shedding for over five hours on Monday.

The permission was granted due to lack of fuel supply for power generation.

The PUCSL granted permission for a four hour and 40 minute-power cut (2 hours and 40 minutes during 8.30am to 4.30pm hours and 2 hours during 4.30pm to 10.30pm) on Monday for areas of A,B, C and 5 hours and 15 minutes (2 hours and 45 minutes during 8.30am to  4.45pm and 2 hours during 4.45pm to 9.45pm)  for areas P,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W.(DSB)
