Parinda Ranasinghe appointed new Attorney General

Colombo, July 12 (PMD) - President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed K.A. Parinda Ranasinghe as Sri Lanka’s new Attorney General.

According to President's Media Division, the appointment was made under Article 61E (b) of the Sri Lankan Constitution at the Presidential Secretariat earlier today, following Ranasinghe's recent role as Acting Attorney General.

Parinda Ranasinghe, who previously served as Senior Additional Solicitor General, has been confirmed as the country’s Attorney General. His appointment received unanimous approval from the Constitutional Council during their session yesterday.
