Poll-related complaints continue to surge

Colombo, August 12 (Daily Mirror) -  The Election Commission continues to receive a flood of complaints related to the upcoming Presidential election.

According to a media release from the Commission, a total of 337 complaints have been filed during the period from July 31 and August 11. 

These complaints fall under various breaches of election laws, including one incident of violence and seven other types of infractions.

The National Centre for Election Complaint Management received 220 of these complaints, while the District Centres for Election Complaint Management recorded 117 complaints.
