President Sirisena tells SC he followed due process

Former President Maithripala Sirisena, through his lawyer today, informed the Supreme Court that he had followed due process and had always acted reasonably when granting the Presidential pardon to Royal Park murder convict Don Shramantha Jude Anthony Jayamaha.

President's Counsel Faisz Musthapha appearing for former President Maithripala Sirisena, made these remarks when the Fundamental Rights petition filed challenging former President Maithripala Sirisena’s decision to grant a Presidential pardon to Don Shramantha Jude Anthony Jayamaha was taken up before the Supreme Court for arguments.(Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
