President orders emergency funds for weather relief

Colombo, June 02 -  President Ranil Wickremesinghe issued a directive for immediate financial support to be distributed to the impacted regions in light of the severe weather conditions affecting several parts of the country.

The President has instructed the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance to promptly allocate necessary funds to the District Secretaries, ensuring swift and efficient assistance to those in need.

The President’s Media Division announced this directive a short while ago, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
